My Bloody Valentine at the Royal Albert Hall

My Bloody Valentine
Chvrches
Royal Albert Hall, 27 March 2026
I never expected to see My Bloody Valentine again, let alone at London's most grand and iconic venues, the Royal Albert Hall, but after reuniting last year to play some shows (I didn't fancy seeing them at Wembley Arena though), I jumped on the chance to see them as part of this year's Teenage Cancer Trust line-up, this time curated by Robert Smith of The Cure after Roger Daltrey stepped down two years ago.

Courtney Barnett at The Moth Club

Courtney Barnett
The Moth Club, 26 March 2026
I got to see the fantastic Courtney Barnett for the first time at the tiny Moth Club and wow, what an electrifying and thrilling show! An out-of-store Rough Trade promo gig for her new album, Creature Of Habit (she actually did two, a matinee and an evening performance - I was at the latter), it was short and sweet and, best of all, loud and raw.

Kevin Morby at Rough Trade East

Kevin Morby
Rough Trade East, 24 March 2026
My first time seeing Kevin Morby and not only was I lucky enough to catch him play a super intimate show at Rough Trade East, where he gave us a lovely preview of his upcoming album Little Wide Open, but he was also joined by his "better half" (his words!) the equally wonderful Katie Crutchfield of Waxahatchee, who sang with him on three songs.

David Byrne at Hammersmith Apollo

An Evening With David Byrne
Hammersmith Apollo, 4 March 2026
I saw him live with St. Vincent many years back but I finally got to see the legendary David Byrne headline his own show and it was quite honestly, one of the most unique, visually arresting, joyful and fun nights I've had in a long in time, filled with so many great songs, from new solo tunes to lots of classic Talking Heads hits.
